Do The Impossible

A dear friend once told me a conversation he had with a close friend of his.

His comment I will share a little later but for now I need to lay the ground work.

Starting with a question: how many times have you gone to do something, anything and someone you know is totally against it. You share your thoughts and they immediately have a strong reaction and shortly after they realize the intensity of their reaction and tone it down a bit to say, I don’t think that’s a very good idea. And then they continue to give you their thoughts and reasons on why it’s not a good idea. Sometimes you can’t even get a word in edge wise. As excited as you were you are now deflated and totally disheartened.

I think we all might have experienced this sometime in our life, if not even now.

This happens more often than we may want to experience.

Our dreams get dashed before they even get out of the starting gate.

What is this really about?

Is it possible, people give a strong negative reaction because they are projecting their own scope of vision on you? Possibly, I don’t really know; I just know it happens.

The no’s, you can’t do that, it’s impossible, it can’t be done are really from people that don’t share your passion and vision. Somethings seem to be more impossible to believe than others, that is just their own experience.

Many times, in my life I wouldn’t share what I wanted to do because those around me at the time were against any ideas I had or anything I wanted to do. As I began to listen to them more than myself, those are the voices that overpowered mine and I ended up doing nothing.

Whenever we share, beware this is a possibility. We have many choices in how to respond to people’s reactions in situations like this. We can react, get upset, walk away, bottle it all up inside, ignore them or realize something. Something we may not have considered before.

Realize this, others can’t always see what you see but this doesn’t mean it shouldn’t happen. Don’t let what others say deter you from what you want. We all have our own paths, with different experiences. Just because some people don’t share your dreams and visions doesn’t mean they can’t or shouldn’t come about.

If you have a desire, thought, passion it doesn’t matter what it is. If there is something you want to do, then just go do it.

This now brings me to this comment.

What the gentleman said,

“If someone says you can’t, just go out and do it, period!”

This is not something he defended or debated. It was just going to happen whether people believed him or not. Convincing them was not his job or care. He wasn’t doing it for them, he was doing it because he had a passion and chose to fulfill that, which in turn blessed himself and others.

What grabbed my attention even more than his words was his humble attitude towards the comments. He didn’t respond with frustration and arrogance but a confidence, yes, I can.

As fast as someone told him he couldn’t, that is when he turned around and made it happen.

If we take a different approach from the possible norm and consider the words this friend said by realizing the power of action taken behind them.

You are setting out to do the impossible. Do the extra ordinary.

Be that one that stands apart.

Dream, do what others say no to. Instead of getting upset because they don’t share in your dream, turn it around and take it a step further and make it happen. Do not bow to any challenge. You can do whatever you want, believe in yourself.

Please be careful when anyone is excited about sharing something with you. Remember it is their dream not necessarily yours. Please beware they have their own path. Just because you may not share that enthusiasm be careful not to stifle theirs.

Realistically if we were all excited about the same things then where would we all be…hmm

We all make the world go around.

What is your part?

Make this your slogan,

If this is your passion, you will make it happen …… no question.

Nothing is impossible. Its all about perception and influence within our own minds. Set your heights high and accept nothing less. Let those sit in astonishment when what you said, actually happens. Experience this once and you will never be the same. If you allow yourself to be open and consider this simple yet profound comment, it alone could change your life.

What is your impossible?    Be that change to the world.

“If someone says you can’t, just go out and do it!”

Thank you for sharing your time with us and until next time stay safe, happy and healthy.

Take care Julie
