Choosing Our Thoughts.
From the blog, “Be the best you can Be” Welcome
The topic for today is, “Choosing our thoughts.”

Choosing our thoughts.
Have you ever found yourself worrying about something that hasn’t even happened yet? Soo much energy goes into the process before you even realize what you are doing. It’s strange how our minds can quickly latch onto a thought and start running with it, feeding it with emotions of fear or excitement. I know I have been there, caught up in a whirlwind of thoughts that seem to have a life of their own.
But then, after a few minutes, I suddenly realize what’s going on. I’m worked up over something that hasn’t even occurred, and my reaction is based on nothing more than a passing thought with an emotional charge. At first, it’s like unknowingly picking up a hitchhiker in my mind, only to later realize that I regret stopping in the first place.
We all have thoughts that try to hitch a ride in our minds, thoughts that have no grounds in truth or reality. They’re just passing through, hoping to take root and throw us off balance. But we have the power to be aware of these thoughts and consciously choose whether or not to entertain them.
Not all thoughts are meant to enrich our lives or support our journey toward our desires and purpose. Some thoughts can bring confusion, fear, and turmoil. It’s up to us to discern which thoughts are beneficial and which ones are just distractions. We have the ability to choose.
So today, I encourage you to question yourself when thoughts arise. Are they grounded in truth as you know it, or are they just passing through with no real basis? Are they there to benefit you or to bring defeat? Be the master of your thoughts and experience the freedom that comes with it. Choose thoughts that enrich and bless your life and let go of those that only bring confusion and fear.
As I reflect on what I shared above, I acknowledge that some of us may struggle more with thoughts than others. And if this is the case for you, I want to encourage you to seek professional help if needed. Taking care of our mental health is crucial, and there is no shame in seeking support when we need it. We’re all on this journey of life, and we all want to experience a fulfilling and rewarding life in the best way possible.
Regardless of how we choose to address our thoughts and emotions, whether through self-awareness, therapy or other means, it’s a positive step toward personal growth. Taking control of our thoughts and being intentional about the ones we entertain can greatly impact our health and overall quality of life. It’s important to prioritize our mental health and make choices that support our emotional well-being.
In summing up: As individuals, we are all unique and have the power to choose which thoughts we want to reflect on and embrace, and which thoughts we can let pass by without giving them much significance. This ability to discern and consciously choose our thoughts is key to cultivating a free and empowered mind and can greatly impact our overall well-being and quality of life. By being mindful of our thoughts and actively choosing positive, empowering, and constructive thoughts, we can create a more positive and fulfilling life for ourselves.
Thank you for sharing your time with us and until next time stay safe, happy and healthy.
Take care, Julie
